The Skyspan Sunpipe Blaze skylights is a cost effective ways of Utilizing Nature’s Gift and providing natural light to almost any room – even in Bushfire zones . The Skyspan Sunpipe tubelight can be supplied to suit any roof profile and has the option of powdercoating to complement the Colorbond range of colours. 

 

The highly reflective flexible shaft carries natural light directly to your room providing an atmosphere of freshness and vitality. 

The Skyspan Sunpipe Blaze tubelight is completed by a white ceiling trim and a selection of diffusers. 

 

The Skyspan Sunpipe Blaze tubelight is an extremely easy unit to install. The flexible shaft eliminates the need for a costly light shaft construction, saving both time and money. 

 

If the Sunpipe Blaze is located in Bushfire Areas rated BAL 29 and the roof pitch is below 18 degrees, the Sunpipe Blaze is fitted with an Ember Guard made up of Stainless Steel mesh to prevent ember penetration in the case of a bushfire.

 

The Skyspan skylight is manufactured to comply with the Australia Standard’s AS4285 & AS1288 and is covered by a seven (7) year guarantee. 

 

With the available option for an ember guard in BAL 29 areas which are at serious risk of catching on fire due to burning debris and increased heat flux especially during a bushfire. Skylights should be inspected at least once per year and any build-up of leaves and rubbish be removed from around the skylight. Depending on the severity of the problem, this may be needed to be performed more often. The Diffuser should be cleaned as needed using a wet sponge. 

The Skyspan skylight is normally cleaned by the elements. At least once per year, wipe over with soap and water and a nonabrasive sponge. Avoid using solvents and thinners. Dust and wipe over to ensure that any build up or caked dust is removed which could prematurely cause corrosion. Repeat as often as needed for each individual location.

Leak Proof Flashing

The Sunpipe Flashings are manufactured from Australian Sheetmetal and are Press Formed in a single piece, resulting in a leak-proof design thanks to their seamless construction.

Flexible Shaft

The Flexible Shaft is made from a highly reflective material that channels external light into the room below. Its flexible design allows for quick and easy installation, as it can adapt to various roof angles and navigate around obstructions in the roof cavity.

Ember Guard

The Skyspan Blaze requires the use of an Ember Guard when the location of the Sunpipe Blaze requires a BAL 29 rating and the roof pitch is 18° or less. The Ember Guard is specifically engineered to endure Bushfire Ember attacks.
